At Wangaratta the Meakins Family had a great night even though it was extremely hot. The track looked very ordinary but from heat 1 it was very raceable. In Sports Sedans, Rhys ended up with 2x wins and a 2nd in his heats. In Standard Saloons, Aaron had a win a 2nd and a 4th in his heats. Courtney had a DNF, 8 & 1st in her heats. Qualifying her in 5th position for the final. Sarah, with limited seat time and quick changeovers didn't get much of a chance to get a decent run in the 85 car.
Due to a closing I. Storm and lightning activity the meeting was declared early and positions were awarded on points. Aaron and Rhys both took out top points on the night and were awarded 1st place in each of their divisions.
