After a long closure the rumble will be heard again in the Basin this Sunday.
With over 40 nominations we have some great support for our returning meeting.
The club is excited and proud to be back. The core group of members have worked together behind the scenes to be able to make this a reality.
Returning classes this season are club favourites Daylesford A Mods.
There will be some fierce competition between our top points scorers from last season.
Brett Carrington will be running one heat to fine tune the car for his son Ben who is returning to racing after an injury.
Bailey Kakoschke will be hot on his heels after his off season in Europe.
Other crowd favourites are Ryan Daly and Ian Bartlett who always put on some great competition.
Locals Wade Justice and David Clark have got new cars for the class and will be on the lookout to finish at the front.
Troy Desmond-Veal will also be one to watch as he returns in his super quick BA Falcon after a little whoops with the wall on practice day.
Daylesford Ladies return with a small field. Last seasons winner Richalle Warlond will be looking to put some points in the bank early in the season. Vicky Alford and Charmaine Bryans have shown good pace at the end of last season. Linda Verlinden returns after a break and Jasmine Kettels will have her new car on track.
Daylesford Juniors are back on track with some new faces who we will watch evolve. Chloe Kakoschke will be returning this season in the 32 Ford Falcon. Kaiden Desmond-Veal and Blake Greatz will have their first official races. Amiley Botheras will be having a go in her Dads big VL commodore. Siblings Piper and Roary Southam will head up a two car team and may show some sibling rivalry on the track.
VSC 1200 Juniors are also back with plenty of Daylesford representation. Sibling duo Riley and Eliza Taylor are back in their awesome looking cars. Club newbies are Ruby Bromage, Amiley Botheras and Brooklyn Stowe.
Visiting drivers will be Jaylen Knight and Brad Marshall. Also returning is Xander Baxter who has a few seasons experience in the class now.
VSC Standard Saloons also return with great support as usual.
Dean Pedersen will be running his new ford falcon. Keen to have some success will also be Bailey Sinclair and Jacob Head.
New club members the Cormack family are coming in numbers in support of the club. Ashley Cormack and Josh Cormack will be supporting the numbers 13 and 66. Andrew Cormack will also coming for a run on Sunday.
Long time club members Rick Stowe and Aaron Meakins will be trying to keep up with the fast paced Charmaine Bryans in her FG Falcon rocket. This car showed some awesome pace at the recent practice day.
We would like to wish all of our competitors the best of luck on Sunday and hope everyone has a great day.
As usual. Racing will start at 11am and the canteen will be operational.
Please bring the family for a great day’s entertainment.
